Egypt’s Foreign Ministry comments on citizen crossing border into Israel

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said that national authorities are looking into media reports on Tuesday concerning an Egyptian national who crossed the border fence from Egyptian territory into Israel. In a statement, the Ministry added that relevant national authorities have determined that the individual has been missing from his home since July and is reportedly mentally unstable. The Foreign Ministry it will continue to take the necessary steps to facilitate his return to Egypt.
