The Democratic Alliance says it is ready for the final stretch of its Local Government Election campaign, urging supporters to turn out in numbers on Wednesday. Briefing the media on Friday, the party says they are ready to host their final national rally at Moretele Park in Mamelodi , Tshwane, on Saturday, ahead of the November 4th polls. DA Federal Council Chairperson and Campaign Manager, Ashor Sarupen, says the party is hoping to translate its extensive campaign into votes. Sarupen says the party’s immediate priority is getting its supporters to the ballot box. “We are calling for every single DA voter to get out to vote on Wednesday. The call is very simple. The DA wants every single one of our supporters to turn out to vote. We’ve run an extraordinarily long 18-month campaign. It’s been actually longer than that if you consider the planning that we put into this, devising the messaging and working it out to make sure that we make an appeal to all South Africans, we were the first out of the blocks to make sure that voters understood what it is that the DA is offering for the Local Government sphere, who our mayoral candidates were, our offer and our track record.”
