Comelec headquarters in Intramuros, Manila. INQUIRER FILES MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will resume its voter registration on November 10, 2026, until July 30, 2027, ahead of the 2028 national and local elections, its Chairperson George Erwin Garcia said on Wednesday. Garcia said the poll body scheduled the registration early so it will have enough time to process and cleanse the voter list. READ: Comelec reopens voter registration in November for 2028 elections “Sa mga kababayan nating gustong magparehistro dahil hindi sila rehistrado, magparevive ng registration, magpatransfer ng kanilang registration o kaya naman magpareactivate ng kanilang registration o magpabago sa kahit anong datos doon, gawin nyo po yan mula November 10 at ito po ay tatagal hanggang sa next year, as much as possible July 30,” Garcia told reporters in an interview. (To our fellow citizens who want to register as voters, revive or transfer their registration, or modify details on their registration, the Comelec will reopen the voter registration from November 10 and will last until next year, as much as possible July 30.) Garcia also shared that they will also relaunch the poll body’s Register Anywhere and Anytime Program in select sites such as airports, hospitals, and data centers. He added that this initiative aims to bring the voter registration drive to those who cannot register because of their work schedules. With this, Garcia encouraged the public to register early and not wait until the last few days of the registration process. The Comelec earlier said that it currently has around 71 million registered voters. The poll body last held its voter registration process from October 20, 2025 to May 18, 2026, during which it received over 5.4 million voter applications. /mr The post Comelec to reopen voter registration on Nov. 10 for 2028 polls appeared first on Inquirer.net .
