According to a statement from the Central Bank, the Roundtable will bring together senior leaders from banks, electronic money issuers, payment services providers, insurers, pension providers, regulators and development partners. Discussions will cover how Ghana measures financial health, innovation in savings, responsible credit, insurance, pensions, investment and the role of the workplace in supporting employees and collective action across the sector, among others. The visit follows discussions between Queen Máxima, the Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana at the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group, where financial health featured as an important priority for advancing economic resilience and inclusive growth. It comes at an important moment for Ghana. Strengthening financial health is the next stage of Ghana’s financial inclusion journey. The Bank of Ghana concluded, saying, it remains committed to a safe and inclusive financial system that supports the financial health of all Ghanaians and the growth of the economy.
