October the 30th, 2026 – Croatia may see some snow next week as a dramatic weather change looms, bringing far colder temperatures and plenty of rain. Over the next few days across Croatia, the weather will be predominantly cloudy and markedly cooler temperatures will prevail, with occasional rain. Index reports that on the Adriatic coast and the islands there will be more sunshine, but also very strong bura. According to the latest forecast issued by the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service (DHMZ), a further deterioration of the weather is expected at the beginning of next week, and the first snow could fall in the highlands. Over the weekend, the weather will be changeable, mostly cloudy inland, and in places rain will fall, especially in eastern and mountainous areas of Croatia. A weak to moderate northeasterly wind will blow, and on the Adriatic a moderate to strong bura, under Velebit with gale-force, in places even hurricane-force gusts. The highest daily temperature will range from 10 to 14 degrees inland and from 17 to 21 degrees on the Adriatic coast and the islands, DHMZ states. Inland, it will be predominantly cloudy, in places with a little rain, primarily in the east of the country and in mountainous Croatia. On the Adriatic it will be partly sunny, but still windy, with a moderate to strong bora, and under Velebit a gale-force bura wind. Morning temperatures will range from 4 to 8 degrees, and on the Adriatic from 10 to 15. During the day, 9 to 13 degrees are expected inland and 16 to 20 by the sea. No major change in the weather is expected on Saturday. Inland clouds will prevail, and in places there will also be rain, especially in mountainous Croatia and in the east of the country. On the coast, there will be more sunny periods, but the bura will continue to blow, particularly strongly under Velebit. On Sunday, the 1st of November, more rain is expected in other parts of the interior as well. It will be cloudy and cooler, with a northerly and northeasterly wind that will occasionally be strong. The change in the weather will also affect Dalmatia, where along with more clouds local rain and showers are expected. Temperatures will gradually fall, and the highest daily values inland will be around 10 degrees. In the highland areas, snow is also possible on Sunday. According to the DHMZ forecast, unstable and colder weather continues at the beginning of next week. On Monday, the 2nd of November, rain is expected in a large part of the interior, and temperatures will fall even further. DHMZ maps also show the possibility of snow in the higher areas of mountainous Croatia, especially on Monday and Tuesday. In some more mountainous areas a snow cover could also form, but this is a forecast several days ahead that can still change. On Tuesday, cold and predominantly cloudy weather will continue, with occasional rain, while snow is still possible in the highlands. According to current forecasts, from Wednesday, the 4th of November, a gradual calming of the weather is expected. There will be less precipitation, and in places sunny periods will appear.
